Caring For Your  Bathtub:

Although the finish is very durable please see the following:

1. Your new finish is easily cleaned with a mild liquid cleaner. FANTASTIC, FORMULA 409, LYSOL TUB and TILE,
SIMPLEY GREEN, Dawn dishwashing liquid and SCRUBBING BUBBLES.  DO NOT USE SOFTSCRUB, COMET or
AJAX. I also like Quick n Brite ->

DO NOT USE TILEX!!!!  DO NOT USE TILEX!!!!!

2. Do not use abrasive scrubbing pads, such as Scotchbrite, or any similar pad as this will scratch the new surface. A
cleaning pad designed for cleaning Teflon surfaces works well.

3. Please maintain faucets and plumbing.   Do not  subject the surface to any dye.

4. Rust from shaving lotion cans may stain surface if allowed to sit for long periods of time.

5. Destruction of the surface may occur by using acid compounds such as drain openers or tile grout cleaners. All
Harsh Chemicals should be kept away from the finish Including hair dyes and nail polish removers and perfumes.
Please keep toys from chipping bathtubs.

6.
Use of liquid soap or body washes is recommended as they rinse easily with water and help prevent the buildup of
soap scum.

7. Owner must maintain caulking.

8. Damage may occur to any refinished surface when exposed to extreme heat. Please keep hot objects away from the
refinished item.

9. Do not use any bath mats with suction cups. I install a slip resistant surface YOU MUST STILL USE CAUTION when
using the bathtub. The slip resistant surface will only aid to prevent slips and falls and we are not responsible for any
accidents, which may occur.

The use of bleach does not clean a bath tub. It will kill mold, make your white clothes white and wreck everything else.
Bleach should not be used to clean a bath tub because it is an oxidizer (bad). Using a wash cloth, wash the inside of
the bath tub and rinse out.

You can wax/polish tub once every 4 months with a urethane polish. This will help protect your tub against dirt.

To prevent slipping do not wax the bottom of the tub.

If you treat your new surface with respect, clean it regularly your fixture will stay shiny, bright and should give you
many years of trouble free service.

How to unclog a drain.

As stated above harsh chemicals are a no no. If the water is not going down and you put
chemicals in the water the chemicals will dissolve in the water and eat away at your finish
whether the tub has been refinished or not.

Having a snake is a good idea.

1) Take off the over flow plate and pull out.

2) Take a snake. ( I recommend one that you can attach to a drill ) I got mine at home depot.

3) With some water in the tub run the snake down the drain via overflow slowly until the
water starts to go down. If you just have a somewhat slow drain you may be able to get
away with chemicals but if its a real slow drain or clogged altogether use the snake. If you
are uncomfortable doing this than hire a professional.

4) Back the snake out slowly hopefully with a glob of hair.

5) Replace the over flow plate.

Using chemicals on this would only have
made a bigger slimy mess in the drain.
